We have been working with AMBITIOUS since Spring 2021. It has been a really simple relationship to develop. I would highly recommend the team to anyone

Executed a comprehensive campaign to address key challenges in the sector, drive awareness, and promote the findings across multiple media channels.

INSIGHT

Southern Construction Framework (SCF) is a public sector initiative to offer efficient construction, residential and consultancy frameworks for public sector organisations. It supports clients through the entire procurement and project management process to ensure maximum value and benefit for the client and the taxpayer.

SCF has delivered over £8bn of public sector construction projects across health, education, local government and housing.

  • It has required a comprehensive communications strategy to build trust with key target audiences and has been working with AMBITIOUS since Spring 2021.
  • A recent brief centred on the timely publication of the Building Safety Act, an important piece of legislation set to change the way new buildings are designed and developed. It is a crucial part of the conversation that SCF is having with tier one contractor partners and clients.
  • SCF needed to demonstrate knowledge and expertise in the subject, to build trust with key target audiences and to offer advice on navigating and complying with the new laws.

AMBITIOUS responded with a results-driven PR campaign designed to not only deliver exposure, but also generate meaningful engagement and insights.

IDEAS

  • Following a briefing from the senior SCF team, AMBITIOUS designed a campaign centred on a roundtable discussion, bringing together senior industry voices to discuss some of the biggest challenges facing contractors, consultants and clients.
  • AMBITIOUS helped to curate the roundtable discussion from the selection of participants to the structure of conversation.
  • AMBITIOUS worked in partnership with SCF to deliver the event and capture content which would ‘fuel’ a campaign of activity.
  • The output of the roundtable was five key questions the participants felt that needed to be answered to address BSA knowledge gaps in target audiences.
  • Based on this series of questions and responses, AMBITIOUS created a whitepaper which was published in different forms across different channels.
  • A full version was made available on the SCF website with a co-ordinated approach to promotion through LinkedIn by its contributors.
  • Snippets of video based on the five questions were captured at the roundtable event to use as ‘shorts’ across LinkedIn, helping to break down this complex discussion into digestible, bite-sized chunks.
  • A news story and contributed thought leadership were used to drive coverage across earned media channels.

This approach reflected a highly effective targeted content strategy, designed to maximise visibility, thought leadership, and message clarity across both digital and traditional channels.

Drawing on deep experience in property & built environment PR, AMBITIOUS ensured the campaign addressed the nuances and needs of stakeholders across the construction and public sector landscapes.

IMPACT

Outputs:

  • From creation and publication of the hero report through to shortform video, news and opinion, AMBITIOUS developed a wealth of material to drive awareness.
  • By working closely with the participants and their respective marketing teams AMBITIOUS was able to amplify these materials across a number of corporate and personal LinkedIn channels.

Outcomes:

  • The creation of shortform content to promote the hero report on LinkedIn, engaging participants and advocates to help spread the word.
  • SCF received follow up enquiries as a direct result the posts.

Impact:

  • Anecdotal feedback from the participants stated that the campaign was a valuable tool for them and gave the wider market a deeper understanding of the challenges faced.
