“Ambitious provided thoughtful guidance throughout the planning stages and it was incredibly helpful to have a face-to-face discussion about plans for content. The team was sensitive to the needs of the demographic we were trying to reach and the production turn-around time was excellent given the short window of time we had available.”

About THE UNIVERSITY OF BRISTOL
Ranked 9th in the UK and 11th in Europe (QS World University Rankings 2020 which analyse the world’s top 1,000 universities in 85 countries), University of Bristol offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees across six faculties.
The university supports around 24,000 students from more than 130 countries, including many adult learners.
The challenge
The Mature Student Recruitment Team approached AMBITIOUS with a brief to produce social shorts (videos) as part of a social media campaign to promote return to study opportunities for adults in the local community. The deadline for completion was a turnaround time of less than one week.
The two courses – ‘Educating Everyone: how should we design our school system?’ and ‘How does our society work?’ – needed to target learners in the Bristol area. In particular adult learners interested in returning to study and community leaders.
The solution
Investing time in a planning session with the Mature Student Recruitment team, helped AMBITIOUS to deliver a clear tone of message and visual style pre-production, create a simple storyboard, review current assets to speed up the process and identify any content gaps which addressed the target audience.
Using a mix of existing assets from the university and creating new content that included a visual theme and still images, AMBITIOUS produced 10 seconds social shorts. The video content was delivered in ready to go formats so that the university’s social team could simply upload.
The results
AMBITIOUS delivered the project to a very tight deadline and the Mature Student Recruitment team were delighted with the results.
