As part of our work for ASDAN, a curriculum development organisation and awarding body, AMBITIOUS supported the senior team to recruit new trustees, who would support the organisation to deliver on its mission of transforming the lives of young people.
Good governance is particularly critical for regulated charitable organisations like ASDAN, and as the education charity sought to raise its profile and refresh its vision and values, new Trustees were needed to provide valuable expertise and support the organisation’s mission and growth.
Leveraging our knowledge of ASDAN and the wider charity and education and skills sectors, AMBITIOUS worked with the senior leadership to develop a Trustee recruitment campaign including process, ESG communications strategy, counsel on appropriate recruitment channels and delivery of a recruitment pack.
Ultimately, our campaign provided ASDAN with a pool of high-quality applicants and resulted in successful appointments to the Board of Trustees.
We also identified and engaged with a number of networks to extend ASDAN’s reach to new potential trustees, supporting our wider profile-raising efforts. For example, we worked with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CiM) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), utilising these networks and channels to match applicants with the skills which ASDAN needed.
