AMBITIOUS PLANS FOR ACCESS CREATIVE COLLEGE – A NEW BRISTOL DIGITAL CAMPUS

The UK’s leading games, music and media college, Access Creative College, has appointed AMBITIOUS to help launch its new £5m Bristol city centre digital campus. PR campaign work from the AMBITIOUS team will include media and influencer relations, stakeholder engagement and event support in readiness for it’s launch in Spring 2019.

Marketing Manager, Phoebe Maxwell said of the appointment: “We believe in the city and want to offer better quality, specialist education – ultimately produce graduates for the thriving local industry. AMBITIOUS has extensive experience working across the education and learning sector supporting clients including ASDAN, curriculum development organisation and awarding body, and Cabot Learning Federation, sponsors of fifteen academies in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, and Weston super Mare including Digitech Studio School.

About the new Bristol campus

Situated just around the corner from Broadmead, the new campus will be located in the new cutting-edge creative hub on All Saints’ Street –  home to several digital and arts businesses. And, the college team is interested in hearing from businesses and individuals with an interest in games technology, film, video and photography, graphic and digital Design, interactive media and event production.

Students will benefit from brand new state-of-the-art facilities, across two floors with potential for future expansion. Opening next year, Phase One includes a 30m2 Virtual Reality  suite, 50m2 of media green-screen suite, overclockers games and iMac media labs plus collaborative spaces, and chill out areas. Music students will continue to benefit from the renowned rehearsal and studio facilities at the satellite site in Hengrove.

Courses for the 2019 academic year include Games Art, Games Technology, Film, Video & Photography, Graphic & Digital Design, Interactive Media and Event Production, with options at Level 2 (GCSE equivalent) or Level 3 (A-level equivalent). All courses are practical and are assessed via project work leading to BTEC or RSL qualifications. Level 3 courses carry the same UCAS points as three A Levels and can lead on to university or employment.
