5 things to look forward to in April. The remote working edition!

Although we can’t gather in person for events and networking, there’s still plenty of virtual events to look forward to in April. Virtual networking, webinars and online workshops are just a handful of activities we’ll be getting involved in this month. So, here are five things you could try from the comfort of your home working environment…

With a combination of free webinars and paid workshops, Enterprise Nation have a full schedule of online events up on their site. The EN team will also be hosting their own daily ‘Lunch and Learn’ webinar, featuring a new expert each day that can answer business questions and queries.

The hit conference Digital Gaggle has been transformed into a virtual Digital Guzzle. Each Friday at 4.20pm the organisers will be hosting a virtual meet up to discuss topics, swap advice and stay social. Anyone joining is also encouraged to bring a drink! To join next Friday, check out their LinkedIn post.

If it’s the larger speaker events you’re missing out on, Meltwater are running webinars with some of the biggest names in the industry. Just have a scroll through their resources page and you’ll find webinars with strategists and VPs of big brands like Monzo, Bumble and Social Chain.

EVO have also turned their regular membership networking events to weekly zoom calls with amazing guest speakers. You can attend as a guest, or find out more about membership here.

Lastly, working from home shouldn’t stop us from staying active and most of us are missing a walk into the office. So, as well as being social and attending virtual events to stay connected, why not try some virtual yoga classes? A favourite of ours is Yoga With Adriene on YouTube, with many of her videos being great for beginners and focussed around reducing stress.

If none of these events are quite what you’re looking for, then do have a look on the Bristol Media website. The BM team have started a Paying it Forward campaign to support the city’s creative community, businesses can share and find resources such as business tools and legal advice.
