5 things we’re looking forward to in January

Not only was 2019 the end of a year, but the end of the decade! The past year has really set the benchmark for the year ahead so we’re excited to see what the twenties will bring. We’ll be kicking off 2020 in style with plenty of events and networking in the calendar, read on to find out more about what Team AMBITIOUS will be up to in January 2020 …

Hannah

I’ll be attending the Bristol Media event ‘Numbers every marketer should know’ with Nick Barthram from Firehaus. I’m looking forward to picking up some new marketing tips from Nick that I can implement for our clients in 2020.

Lis

This January I’ll be speaking at MEET South West. MEET is a showcase that brings together our regions event professionals. In my talk ‘Stakeholders: how tapping into your network can drive more event registrations’ I will discuss identifying stakeholders and the best ways to engage them. My session will also include practical tips and advice, example case studies and a check list to help attendees mobilise their own stakeholder network.

Izzy

I’m excited (and nervous) for Digital Cities Bristol because I’ll speaking at one of the events! On Monday the 27th, myself and Lis will be at the ‘How to get your dream job’ session with Bristol Media, where we will share our unique insight into working in the creative industry alongside some other Bristol businesses ADLIB, Oakwood Agency and BBC Bristol.

Evie

I’m looking forward to January’s edition of LinkedIn Local. The speaker this month is Paul Holbrook, Chief Vision Officer of Diary Detox; he’ll be sharing insight into time management when working with large organisations and his unique methodology devised to put you back in control of your diary. This is the perfect event to kick of 2020 for me, my diary certainly needs a refresh!

Greg

I’m looking forward to shaking off the January blues with the Bedminster Winter Lantern Parade on the 11thJanuary! Now in its 9th year, it will be lighting up the streets of Bedminster in a celebration of community and creativity. As well as a host of live music, the light parade starts off on North Street at 5pm and finishes with some spectacular fireworks.
