We’re pleased to announce that global conference Social Media Week has announced its return to Bristol from 10 – 14 June 2019. One of 25 cities worldwide to host a Social Media Week, Bristol is the only city in the UK outside of London to get involved.
Team AMBITIOUS is the organising partner, so excited to set this year’s event off to a flying start …
The 2019 edition of Social Media Week Bristol will have a curated stream of inspirational events, talks and seminars. Held previously in 2016 and 2018, the week has previously included keynotes from Facebook, Buzzfeed, Twitter, Glassdoor and Yahoo, a 50 strong events programme attended by 2,000 delegates from over 80 different brands and businesses and visitors from as far afield as the US and Dubai.
What is Social Media Week?
Social Media Week Bristol provides a global collaborative and innovative platform to showcase the South West’s expertise as well as providing grass roots opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing and engagement with the wider business community.
The theme for 2019 is STORIES: With great influence comes great responsibility. This theme explores the role of people that work in social media – content creators, journalists, marketers, technologists- and the responsibility they have to be truthful and real in all communication.
The event will bring together key players that contribute to that knowledge and also seek to facilitate collaboration with businesses and enterprises that have yet to fully realise the potential of social media. It has events tailored to businesses and professionals who want to further their understanding of emerging technology, mobile and social media and sessions dedicated to those who are already at the cutting edge of new trends.
The event programme will be announced in April and tickets will go on sale soon after. If you would like to be alerted when the schedule is live, please visit www.smwbristol.co.uk to register.
Social Media Week Bristol sponsors include Business West, Foot Anstey, Access Creative College and ADLIB. Agency sponsors include Fat Media, Fourth Floor Creative Co, Home, Noisy Little Monkey and Nomensa. Industry supporters include the DMA, PRCA, IPA and CIPR SW.
