This week has felt like winter is coming to an end. And, with International Women’s Day and Pancake Day taking place in March, we definitely have a spring in our step for the month ahead. Here’s what our PR agency team at AMBITIOUS HQ are up to this month…
I’m a Governor at City of Bristol College, a role I’ve been supporting for the past few years. This month I’ll be joining the executive and teaching teams on a Learning Walk. It’s a lesson observation and is really useful in terms of increasing my knowledge about the curriculum and importantly engaging with students and staff.
For me it’s got to be International Women’s Day on the 8th March. I will be attending an event to celebrate the evening before in London with Procorre and its female CEO Anne O’Donnell. Then on the day itself, I’ll be heading to a Women Means Biz networking lunch with Samantha Castle, partner at law firm Barcan+Kirby . The team at Barcan+Kirby are progressive, promoting women and equal opportunities.
I’m really looking forward to the Evo Network dinner at Harvey Nichols on the 5th of March. I love all things social so hearing Jamie Forest give tips and tricks on making the most out of Facebook advertising campaigns will be an added bonus.
It’s the launch party for Access Creative College’s new city centre campus on the 7th March and I’ll be joining students, parents and members from across Bristol’s education and business community to celebrate the opening of the new site with a host of live performances and student showcases. With brand new facilities and tech, the new campus is aimed at developing skills that will not only forge fulfilling and exciting careers for young people in and around the city, but also help to feed Bristol’s hunger for expertise within its growing market of creative businesses.
I’m excited to be attending the Bristol Marriot Royal Hotel relaunch party. To mark its 150th year anniversary, the hotel has had a multi-million-pound refurbishment and I’m looking forward to celebrating with the Marriott team!
