FIVE THINGS WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO IN FEBRUARY

February may be the month for romance, but there’s lots more going on in our PR agency world to get our minds (and hearts) racing this month. From inspiring vloggers to female entrepreneurs, here are a few of the people we’ll be learning from. And, some of the places to find us in the coming weeks…

Izzy:

I’m looking forward to attending the workshop that Bristol Media is running on Filming Access Documentaries at the Square club. The talk – from Abbas Media Law – will look at the contractual, legal and regulatory issues that can crop up in access docs, including data protection, defamation and top tips for drafting access agreements.

Evie: I’m looking forward to shaking away the January blues with a harbourside run at Workout + Network hosted by Origin Workspace, a new co-working space opening this spring in Clifton. We work with the team there and they run some great sessions.

Greg:

I’m really looking forward to a workshop that Access Creative College is hosting with style, beauty and lifestyle YouTuber Helen Anderson, on the 18th February at Rough Trade. A bit of ‘must attend’ for any aspiring vlogger, Helen has over half a million followers on her YouTube channel. The workshop will cover all the different aspects of content making, social media evolution, how and why brands work with influencers like herself, as well as some top tips on how to stand out in the busy online world.

Mel:

This month I am really looking forward to attending the ‘Women Rising’ roundtable at the Engine Shed, which is being organised by The Entrepreneurs Network and Barclays as part of its Female Founders Forum Project. The focus is on leadership, so I am looking forward to picking up a few tips and also meeting other female entrepreneurs from the region.

Lis:

February is always a busy month at AMBITIOUS but I’m going to make time to visit Bristol Museum & Art Gallery to see the  Leonardo da Vinci: A Life in Drawing show. The show is to mark the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci’s death and will show a collection of some of his finest works.

Are you planning to go along to any of these events – or are you looking forward to something we’ve missed? Let us know in the comments below, or connect with us on Twitter @Ambitiouspr.
