Does anyone else feel like September is the new January? After a summer break, there’s now a distinct whiff of Autumn the air and with it comes great enthusiasm to get back to business and even do something new or different. And, as a Bristol PR agency what better place to get out and about than in our home city. Lucky us!
With that in mind, we are starting a new monthly blog to round-up what we’re looking forward to in the coming month, be it business or pleasure. And what better month to start than September? Here’s what some of our AMBITIOUS team members will be up to in the coming weeks …
“I’m looking forward to checking out Encounters Film Festival. It’s the UK’s leading short film festival, bringing the best in international short film, animation, and virtual reality. It’s happening all over Bristol from 25-30th September with a mix of screenings and special events.”
“The Get Connected Bristol Expo is on 20th September and I’m going along. It looks like the kind of event where I’ll meet lots of interesting people and come away having learnt a thing or two. I’m particularly keen to go to some of the seminars, including ‘the art of persuasion in business’ and ‘business is personal’.”
“After a busy summer I’m looking forward to networking and brushing up on my LinkedIn skills at this LinkedIn event hosted by Greg Cooper at Origin Workspace. Origin Workspace’s events always feature quality speakers and a good crowd of interesting people.”
“Bristol Open Doors weekend is 14-16th September and is always a brilliant insight into the local area. I live near Arnos Vale Cemetery and it’s a really beautiful woodland space with lots of interesting architecture. I am also going to book for the Temple Meads underground tunnels tour – fascinating! And I would like to visit the Old Police Station and some of the other historic buildings which aren’t usually open to the public.”
“I’m going to Bristol Media’s Vision Keynote with Ann Hiatt on 25th September. Having spent 15 years as the Executive Business Partner to Jeff Bezos (CEO of Amazon) and Eric Schmidt (CEO and Executive Chairman at Google/Alphabet), Ann will be sharing her insights and learnings. It’s a great opportunity to hear from such a sought-after international speaker – and right on our doorstep in Bristol!”
